Anthony Saranchak
## About Anthony Anthony spent 25 years as a federal government auditor before transitioning to consulting with a global accounting, tax, and auditing firm. He went on to work with multiple consultant firms and law firms doing import and export compliance consulting as an independent contractor. That career shift gave him a completely new perspective on the power—and necessity—of networking. ## From Auditor to Networker In government, the work was there every day when Anthony got to the office. Networking wasn't part of the job. But when he moved into independent consulting, networking became a daily responsibility—and he quickly learned it was a skill that takes patience, intention, and a willingness to play the long game before seeing the payoff. ## Networking Is Not Selling One of Anthony's most important lessons was separating networking from selling. He discovered that you have to network first before you can try to sell anything or help anyone in any way. Building genuine relationships comes before any transaction—and that distinction changes everything about how you approach people, conversations, and opportunities. ## You're Already Networking Looking back, Anthony realized he had been networking all along—in many areas of life—without recognizing it. His teaching draws on that realization, helping students see that networking isn't a separate, intimidating task but something natural they can learn to do better, more intentionally, and with greater confidence.
