Our 6th Grade Algebraic Equations Class is designed to introduce students to the basics of algebra in a way that is clear, engaging, and easy to understand. Aimed at 11–12-year-olds, this pre-algebra course helps build the foundation they need for future success in middle school and beyond. Students will gain confidence in solving equations, understanding patterns, and applying logical steps to math problems.
Class Time:
1 hours of learning!
Each lesson combines interactive teaching with independent practice. Using the IXL app, students will work on adaptive problems that match their level of understanding, while Google Slides will guide them through structured lessons with step-by-step examples. This blend of technology and instruction ensures that every child gets the support they need to progress at their own pace.
Key topics include simplifying expressions, solving for unknowns, and learning how algebra connects to real-world situations. Lessons are broken into manageable steps, making complex concepts easier to grasp while encouraging critical thinking. By practicing regularly and applying what they learn, students will strengthen their problem-solving abilities and prepare for more advanced math.
The class creates a supportive and engaging environment where students are encouraged to ask questions and share their thought processes. With interactive tools, clear instruction, and positive reinforcement, learners will finish the course with a solid understanding of algebraic equations and greater confidence in math.
