In this course, we’ll explore the core elements of art line, shape, color, value, form, texture, and space through fun, approachable projects. You'll learn to truly see like an artist, build foundational drawing and painting skills, and develop your unique visual voice. Each session will include live demonstrations, guided exercises, and supportive critique designed to nurture growth, not perfection.
What sets this class apart is the emphasis on process over product. I believe art is for everyone not just those who consider themselves "talented." I'm here to help you embrace the mess, ask questions, make bold choices, and surprise yourself along the way. As an artist and educator with years of experience teaching people from all walks of life, I bring patience, encouragement, and real-world insight into every lesson.
Classes are live and interactive with optional assignments in between to deepen your skills. You’ll need only basic supplies to start, and as we move forward, I’ll introduce accessible materials and techniques so you can build a toolkit that fits your style and budget.
