I wanted to create a course that gave in depth writing prompts with a touch of the basic english refreshers. Each week students will be given a writing prompt and a lesson in relation to writing, literature, and basic english etiquette. The pre-recorded classes will detail the lesson of the week and the writing prompt to apply with the lesson taught that week. Each live class session will be used as a Q&A for students and also a period where I can help revise work for you all.
I was an honors student throughout school with an exceptional talent in writing and english. I took multiple writing electives and excelled in each assignment given to me, which allowed me the opportunity to help peers and create pieces that are still used as examples by teachers today. In my senior year of highschool I submitted a personal essay that won me a $2,000 scholarship and as of recently I am currently working on my own book.
Everyone deserves a place of creative self expression, and writing can be the most intimate way to achieve that. The hope for this course is that the student feels heard in their writing and that they leave with a more refreshed sense of the writing process and a recap on grammar lessons. I look forward to sharing my knowledge with you all and inturn, learning something special from all of you.
