This online class blends improvisation, somatic awareness, and choreographic exploration. We’ll move beyond traditional dance structures to experiment with how breath, gesture, and imagination can shape movement. Inspired by my own artistic research and choreographic works, I’ll guide you through exercises that awaken creativity and deepen your connection to your body.
Participants will learn improvisation techniques that help them trust their instincts, somatic practices to heighten awareness of sensation and energy flow, and creative tools for generating movement phrases and exploring personal expression. We’ll also engage in collaborative exploration, sharing and reflecting on each other’s discoveries. By the end, you’ll leave with a toolkit of practices to continue your own creative movement journey, whether in performance, daily life, or simply as a way of reconnecting with yourself.
As a dance artist and holistic health coach, my work has always been rooted in curiosity and collaboration. I’ve performed internationally, created outdoor site-specific works, and developed projects that weave together dance, music, and nature. My artistic practice is about listening—to the body, to the environment, and to each other. Teaching this class allows me to share not only my technical background but also my passion for movement as a living, breathing holistic art form. Participants can expect a supportive atmosphere where individuality is celebrated and exploration is encouraged.
With my extensive experience teaching virtually, I know how to create a fun, cozy, and interactive environment where students feel comfortable exploring and connecting. Each session will begin with grounding warm-ups, move into guided improvisations, and then transition into creative exercises that build toward short compositions. Reflection and discussion will be woven throughout, ensuring that every participant feels seen and supported. No prior dance experience is required—just curiosity and openness to movement.
