My name is David Keckta. I've been a percussionist for nearly 40 years. I come from a family of musicians. I am the third drummer in my family and I have a lifelong passion for music. I performed at Disneyland at the entrance from 1993-1997 in the El Dorado High School Marching Band. I studied privately under rock and jazz drummer Mike Alarcon for several years in Southern California. After relocating to Arizona as a young adult, I chased my dream of playing in rock and heavy metal bands and going in tour. I have experience recording in studios, traveling and playing gigs and releasing albums.
Over the years I have taught privately on and off, taking new students without any prior knowledge of playing the drums and turning them into drummers. Even though I remain in relative obscurity, the experience I have from studying music and teaching it has prepared me for this opportunity to share what I know with others. I look forward to sharing what I know with you!
