Though I am 19 years old, I have been classically trained from a young age. My mother is a Lyric Soprano and taught me classical opera technique since as early as 3 years old. I have studied with various instructors such as Tom Roed who worked with Warner Bros. and Debby Lennon, a former instructor at Webster University and current performer, and I currently study with Lyric Soprano, Kim Jones. In addition to my prior training, I am also a current student in the BFA Musical Theatre Program at the College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. After college I intend on continuing private voice instruction in addition to being a performer in the Musical Theatre industry. I feel confident, not only in my qualification, but feel enthusiastic to teach beginner through advanced singers express themselves through song, and connecting their passion to their capability to produce healthy and powerful sound.
Hi there! My name is Sophie. I am a BFA Musical Theatre Student at Roosevelt University. I also teach voice for beginner-advanced singers! I love working with other people, especially on the things they are most passionate about. If you are passionate about singing, then I'm certain we'll be good friends! What is most exciting to me about teaching voice is giving my students the space to express themselves, and refine that craft. I hope to teach and inspire many talented young artists to express themselves through song, as I find that it so often brings people together, an it's so cathartic; I want to foster that.
