We start with crochet chain stitch and single crochet, and move on to double crochet for the first 2 projects. Then we learn shell stitch for the 3rd project. Eventually we move on to knitting--how to cast-on to a needle and make garter stitch, stockinette stitch, cables, and beyond.

I have been knitting and crocheting for 41 years, hand-knitting and crocheting coats, dresses, sweaters, shawls, afghans, doilies, tablecloths, hats, scarves, gloves, mittens, legwarmers, pocketbooks, jewelry, socks,neck ties, bed coverlets,Christmas Tree Angels, toys, and babies outfits. I've also done cross stitch, tatting, and embroidery.
