As a student, you will learn about the benefits of meditation, practice exercises (such as guided imagery, diaphragmatic breathing) and explore other important holistic modalities. Each class will feature a specific topic I will talk about and the course is set up to be engaging and requires a moderate amount of participation. No supplies are required for the class as the only expectation I ask of you is to be present and have a willingness to learn something new.
During classes such as mindful eating and mindful drawing, students will require having a snack or meal for their food item. For the drawing portion, students may use a pencil, pen, colored pencil and have either regular paper or sketch paper.
Hello prospective student! My name is Nicholas and I am looking forward to seeing you all for your mindful journey! I have been practicing meditation for about the past five years and it has helped me to alleviate symptoms of anxiety and worry. Whether you experience these things or not, meditation has several benefits and is known as a natural way of healing and adding more serenity into your life. My background is in psychology and the arts. I have a Master's Degree from Kean University in Counseling and I have a passion for the arts that includes teaching art, selling my work through commissions and being a participant in local/state arts festivals (online and in-person). I also have to YouTube channels where I speak about fitness and wellness in one and showcase my artwork in the other -- through sketches, drawings and videography. I am excited to share my knowledge and practice with you to help bring you more peace, more serenity and more tranquility in your life.
