As we learn, they will read sentences and tell me what common words are to say, such as “flat” “mat” “sat”. These rhyming words also will help to grasp the concept of reading because your child will be able to identify. Simple words such as “the” and “at” while reading is something that they will know when we practice reading words out of a book.
Syllables will be taught. For example, “weather” it has 2 syllables. To learn, we will clap the syllables. To keep them engaged they will get rewards at the end of the class. We will play games at the end to test their knowledge on the topics we are learning. This will be fun for them, while being educational.
