Each week, we’ll explore the emotional roots behind overgiving, people-pleasing, and boundary fatigue. We’ll talk openly about how to recognize when you’re carrying more than your heart and capacity can hold, how to communicate your needs clearly, and how to build relationships that feel mutual, healthy, and safe. This class is not about becoming harsh or distant—it’s about learning to create space for yourself without losing your compassion. It’s about practicing a new way of honoring your emotional well-being while still loving others, just not at the expense of yourself.
Students will learn how to identify emotional triggers around boundaries, how guilt forms, and how to interrupt those old patterns with clarity and confidence. We’ll discuss real-life examples, practice communication tools, and build personal boundary strategies that support peace, balance, and self-respect. By the end of the course, students will feel more grounded in their “no,” more confident in their “yes,” and more equipped to make decisions without fear, pressure, or emotional backlash.
I am the ideal instructor for this class because I teach from lived experience, not theory. The lessons in Boundaries That Heal come from a real journey—one that I share openly in my book, Behind the Chair Beneath the Burden. I’ve been the one who carried too much, who said yes when my heart was tired, who held the emotional weight of others so long that I forgot my own capacity.
Because I’ve walked through seasons of overgiving, guilt, and self-silencing, I understand these patterns from the inside. And I also know the freedom that comes from reclaiming your voice and choosing yourself with clarity and compassion. I’ve helped countless women navigate these same emotional landscapes—guiding them with honesty, empathy, and the practical tools I’ve gained by living through it. I don’t teach boundaries from a distance; I teach them from a place of transformation, transparency, and truth. My approach is warm, grounded, and real, creating a safe environment where students feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow.
This is a live, group-based experience with open conversations, guided reflections, and scenario practice to help students apply what they learn in real time. Each session includes a short teaching segment supported by simple slides to help anchor key concepts visually. Students will also receive optional downloadable materials—such as reflection worksheets and scenario-based examples—to deepen their practice throughout the week. These aren’t required, but they are recommended to enhance understanding and support personal growth.
