This class is for anyone who’s ready to stop operating on autopilot and start living with clarity and confidence. You’ll learn how to shift your mindset from reaction to intention, identify the patterns that keep you stuck, and create habits that actually match your values. We’ll talk about boundaries, energy, self-worth, and how to stop saying “yes” to everything that drains you. Basically, it’s mindset work with a little soul and a lot of honesty.
I created Becoming Intentional because I’ve lived through the chaos of “doing everything right” and still feeling lost. I’m a Doctor of Social Work, but more than that. I’m someone who’s rebuilt from burnout, heartbreak, and self-doubt. So I won’t throw jargon at you or pretend life is always neat and tidy. This space is about being real, laughing through the mess, and learning how to trust yourself again.
The class includes video lessons, journal prompts, and reflection exercises you can do at your own pace. You’ll also have access to live sessions where we can dive deeper, ask questions, and connect with others walking the same journey. You don’t need to be perfect, just willing. And if you show up for yourself, even a little, you’ll be amazed at how quickly things begin to shift.
Hi, I’m Dr. Sierra Slay, social work educator, mindset coach, and author of several self-growth books, including Becoming Intentional, Rooted in You, and Surviving in Plain Sight. I have my Doctorate in Social Work and over 6 years of experience helping people break free from burnout, people-pleasing, and self-doubt so they can live with clarity and purpose.
I created Becoming Intentional because I know firsthand how hard it can be to slow down and rebuild from a place of peace instead of pressure. My teaching blends academic insight, emotional honesty, and a little humor because growth doesn’t have to feel like homework.
What excites me most about teaching this class is watching people rediscover their voice and realize they were never broken. They were just ready to grow differently. My goal is to create a space that feels honest, encouraging, and empowering… the kind that leaves you saying, “Wow, I really needed that.”
