My class will go over the basics of creative writing and story telling. Grammar, how to transfer your thought on to paper without it getting too messy, and coming up with character who will have an end goal will be the start. Then we can go over the structure of the story, what you want to happen, and what will keep a reader on their feet. Start small, but over time if you continue to add more detail and more descriptions it will blossom into so much more than a story!
I want my class to be fun. I want everyone to feel comfortable sharing their stories and providing feedback to others. It’s scary starting a new thing. Especially when there’s a change you’ll have to talk about it to new peers. I myself was always afraid of public speaking, but this is a space of no judgement. Everyone is different and that is not bad. It makes you and your story unique.
I will be the ideal instructor because my favorite thing to do is write. I published my first book when I was seventeen. I started writing well before I ever saw a career in it. I have stories that I wrote when I was nine still in my parent’s house. This is something that I genuinely love, and I want other people to love it too! Stories are beautiful. You can choose whatever you’re feeling; whether it be love or horror and anything in between. Make the story yours, and I will guide you through every block, every inconvenience, and any obstacles you face.
I've been a writer ever since I was a little kid, and I have enjoyed every second of it. It's my comfort hobby. I'm always so excited to tell people about my next story, and I want people to feel the same way. I want them to go to their friends and tell them about the awesome story idea they had and how they're excited to write about it.
